Our Cooper is always well taken care of here. They make sure to get him in even though I'm sure they're very busy.
Not only are the staff caring, they are understanding, knowledgeable and amazing professionals with a love of all creatures and a willingness to help! Dr Pearson goes above and beyond when helping me with my many pets. I not only highly recommend this clinic but am so appreciative of them all!!!! They're the best!
Dr.Bergin is a very good Vet. My husband brought our ten year old miniature Eskimo dog in when she started throwing up.My dogs long term Vet from a different clinic was out of town for a week because of the Fourth of July weekend coming up. This previous Vet of ours had been treating my dog as having a possible UTI. My dog was having episodes of diarrhea, stomach issues and episodes of not waking as much.I feel my old Vet dropped the ball completely. She treated our dog for a few months like this . Did no x-rays then went out of town.Dr. Bergin was called because I needed a Vet and was worried about my dog throwing up.She instantly saw her the next day.Did X-rays that showed a possibly inflamed Pancreas.Put my dog on antibiotics ,anti nausea and Prednisone. Checked all vitals and they were fine. The next morning Dr.Bergin herself called us to check on Princess. She seemed to be bouncing back, till that night when she started throwing up buckets of green vomit.Dr. Bergin advises you to call Bemidji Vet Hospital for after hour emergencies. Which we did.The on call Vet there at BVH said we could bring her that next morning which my husband did.Her vitals were still fine but they noticed she had developed anemia and put her on IV Meds.I asked what time to visit on Sunday and they said Sunday's are limited staff for dire visits only . I said we were coming the next morning ,I was her mom and moms know. When I got there the tech said she was not doing so well since late last night. My heart sank when I saw her ,she was head down and ears down . When I kissed her,her eyes opened with love. They were blood shot horribly. Her nose was ice cold.We visited with her for two hours till the doctor came to examin her. She died in her arms during the examination. They asked to do a free autopsy. She died of Perotinitus. A hole developed in her Pancreas over time. Dr. Bergin now is the Vet to my new puppy. I trust her completely.
In response to the unfavorable review.
We are sorry to hear you had a negative impression of our services. We have been providing the local pets and our community veterinary services for 39 years and have offered our low cost vaccine clinic for the past 32 years. During the time of this low cost service we may see over 100 pets and their owners and unfortunately we are unable to spend personal time with each pet as we would during regular exam hours. We take pride in the comfort and health of every pet we serve and look forward to the continued growth and service for our pet community.
Use to always come here with the old Vet. They were always nice and seem to cared more about the animals than the $. Before you bring your love one here I would check around, other Vet in town are much more affordable. Not sure what the owner does with all the money but it is not going towards the business. It like paying for the Taj Mahal and getting below standard service. Only thing affordable is the rabies clinic and that is wild - the way they move the animal through (like cattle at the slaughter house).
